Crane Safety

Purpose:
To 1) monitor and review current and proposed legislation, rules, regulations, court and arbitration decisions relating to crane safety on construction sites, 2) define responsibilities of owners (public & private), general contractors, designers and their employees relative to crane safety under different types of construction contracts, 3) monitor and update ASCE Policy Statement 424 - Crane Safety on Construction Sites and 4) compile crane safety information. Establish a crane safety bibliography and act as a forum for disseminating information to owners, contractors, designers, other associations, and the educational community. Coordinate with other ASCE committees, associations, and other appropriate regulatory agencies. |
