BIOGRAPHY
David LeardProject Director, South and Northeast Corridors, CATS
David joined the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) as the South Corridor Light Rail Project Manager in February 2000. Prior to joining CATS, David gathered over nine years of experience while working in both the private and public sectors. His public sector experience included tours with DART in Dallas, VIA Metropolitan Transit in San Antonio, and El Metro in Laredo, Texas. David is active in APTA with membership on the Light Rail Transit while also participating in the FTA's New Start and Transit Construction roundtables.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and holds a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Masters of City and Regional Planning and Bachelor of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
