Jerrold Dinkles, P.E.
Engineering Program Manager, Downtown Restoration Program PANYNJ



Jerrold M. Dinkels, P.E. is the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey's Engineering Program Manager for the Downtown Restoration Program, responsible for the delivery of design and construction of one of the nation's most challenging programs. He joined the Port Authority in 1987 as a project manager, where he began his career in the Engineering Department managing ferry and rail facility projects. Jerrold was involved with several major infrastructure redevelopment programs, including the Trans-Hudson Ferry Program; the PATH Tunnel Track and Drainage Replacement Program; the PATH Trackwork Rehabilitation Program, and the Interstate Bridge Crossings Repainting Program.

In 1993, Jerry became Engineer of Projects for the New York Airport Access Program and the JFK Airport Redevelopment Program. In this position he was responsible for overseeing major infrastructure developments, including the construction of the automated guideway system linking JFK and Manhattan, redevelopment of the International Arrivals Building, and the Newark International Airport Monorail Extension Program. In 1998, he became Engineering Program Manager for the World Trade Center where he was responsible for delivering major capital improvements and patron service enhancements at the facility. In 2000, Jerry took on the responsibility of Engineering Program Management for PATH. Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Jerry was given the responsibility of Engineering Program Manager for the Downtown Restoration Program, overseeing the Engineering Department?s delivery of design and construction services for accelerating restoration of PATH service to downtown Manhattan.

Prior to joining the Port Authority, Jerry worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff, Quade, and Douglas Inc. and the New York City Department of Transportation.

Jerry received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the City College of New York in 1969. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and is a member of Chi Epsilon.
