The creation of new Construction Institute Chapters within Sections and Branches is strongly encouraged by ASCE. The initiative for affiliation should come from the interested Section/Branch Construction Group leader or the Section or Branch President.

ASCE P.E. Civil Exam Review Course
ASCE's live P.E. Civil Exam Review Course on the web is a proven way to help you prepare for and pass the P.E. Civil Exam. Taught by a team of experienced P.E. Exam Review instructors, the course will be presented as a series of 12 two-hour modules held over a six-week period. We also offer four additional 'depth' sessions to prepare you for the afternoon depth portion of the P.E. Exam. Learn more on the 12 part-series and the four additional depth sessions. The review courses for the Spring 2012 P.E. Exams will begin in mid-February. The registration deadline is Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

2012 CI Student Days

The Construction Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (CI) has developed a student-centered conference called Student Days that has been specially designed to introduce civil engineering students to the wide variety of professional opportunities after graduation, in a richly interactive program. Since 2008, CI has sponsored more than 500 of the best and brightest engineering students to come together at Student Days with ASCE members and corporate recruiters for learning, networking and career development. The 2012 CI Student Days will be held in July, in Houston, Texas.

The ASQ Design and Construction Division hosted a joint design and construction quality management meeting with the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Transportation Research Board at the TRB annual meeting in Washington DC in Jan 2012.
Meeting Name: Joint Design and Construction Quality Meeting of ASQ, ASCE, and TRB
The intent was to try to have a joint meeting of various groups that are involved in design and construction quality. These groups are primarily, but not limited to, the ASQ Design and Construction Division, the ASCE Construction Institute, and the TRB Design and Construction Group.
